Little Rock police identify person killed in Sunday airport crash

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Little Rock Police Department has identified the person who was killed in a small plane crash at Bill and Hillary Clinton Airport on Sunday afternoon.

LRPD officials identified the pilot who was killed in the crash as 62-year-old William Cope.

Multiple agencies respond to two-seat plane crash at Little Rock airport

On Sunday, officials said several agencies responded to a small plane crash that happened around 1 p.m. northeast of the airport terminal.

Airport officials confirmed that the plane was a single-engine Cirrus SR-22 and Cope was the only person on board.

The investigation into the crash is being handled by the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration.
