LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A Little Rock mother and son wrote a children’s book together, hoping to encourage girls to consider a career in banking.
Ten-year-old Liam Sprinkle and his mom Shamim officially launched their book “Ella the Banker” Thursday.
It encourages girls to consider a career in commercial banking, especially women of color who are often underrepresented in the field.

Shamim is a banker and Liam said he was inspired by his little sister who dreams of becoming a banker, just like mom.
“It’s exciting and were only 10 and 8 and now we’re slightly famous,” Liam stated.
