CARTI’s Day of Hope, aims to bring hope to patients during cancer journey

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — With a heartbreaking diagnosis like cancer, patients find hope in having a support system in their corner, Sunday an organization is making sure that happens.

Sunday is World Cancer Day and in honor of that, CARTI is making sure every patient past and present, feels supported in their journey.

CARTI said the day is about meeting people where they are on their journey and helping where they can.

CARTI unveils new cancer surgery center

Denise Lacy is a breast cancer survivor, and says the organization brought her the hope she needed to fight.

“It was scary,” Lacy said.

A diagnosis that changes everything.

“2020 I was diagnosed with breast cancer,” Lacy said.

Lacy always knew there was a history of breast cancer in her family, but never thought it would happen to her.

“I think I had my feet knocked out from under me,” Lacy said.

She came to CARTI in 2020 and entered remission in 2021. There were ups and downs but says the team at CARTI were there through it all.
