Pulaski County man pleads guilty in roofing scam case, sentenced to 10 years in prison

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A Pulaski County man will spend 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to felony charges in connection with a roofing scam case.

According to prosecutors, 63-year-old John Malone negotiated a guilty plea on two felony counts of theft of property.

Officials said that North Little Rock investigators found that Malone agreed to do roofing work, took thousands of dollars from two victims and failed to complete the job.

Prosecutor Attorney Will Jones said that Malone was sentenced to 10 years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections as well as an additional five years of supervised release.
