North Little Rock police investigating deadly shooting in Park Hill

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Police in North Little Rock are investigating a Monday afternoon shooting near the Park Hill Historic District that left one person dead.

A spokesperson with the North Little Rock Police Department said the shooting happened in the 300 block of East C Avenue.

Authorities said dispatchers received a call about the shooting just after 4:15 p.m. and quickly responded.

When they arrived, the officers said they found the victim, a man, dead at the scene. Investigators said the identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of the victim’s next of kin.

Police said a suspect has been taken into custody at the scene.

Officials are responding to the scene to begin their investigation. Detectives are investigating this incident as a homicide. Officers are asking the public to avoid the area as the investigation continues.
