North Little Rock family begging for an end to violence after loved one was killed

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A family in North Little Rock is mourning the loss of a loved one after he was killed in a shooting.

This homicide took place Wednesday morning at the Summit at Valley Heights Apartments at the 5600 block of Summertree Drive just before 10:45 a.m.

The North Little Rock Police Department has not released the name of the victim, but Lovely Hudson said it was her nephew, Fayshun Verser.

“Fayshun was so precious to me,” Hudson said.

Just two months into 2024, the city of North Little Rock has had four homicides.

“I’m begging y’all please stop the killing,” Hudson pleaded.

The four homicides include this one, plus a 27-year-old mother and her five-month-old son were killed on February 13th. The two were found on the I-440 ramp from Highway 165.

The mother has been identified as Teangela Tate of Jacksonville. The deceased infant has been identified as Noel Mott.
