NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Police in North Little Rock say they have made two arrests tied to the investigation into the killings of a mother and her infant child who were found dead off the side of a highway.
North Little Rock Police Department officials said they have arrested 43-year-old Willie Mott Jr. and 70-year-old Diane Mott in connection to the death of 27-year-old Teangela Tate and her infant son, Noel Tate.

NLRPD detectives said they developed Willie Mott Jr. as a person of interest in the case on Tuesday, and that night members of the United States Marshal Eastern District Fugitive Task Force tracked him down to a home in Jacksonville.
Mott was taken into custody on unrelated arrest warrants and transported to the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility. After securing warrants, NLRPD detectives said they worked with the Jacksonville Police Department to search residences in both cities.
