LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Officials with Bryant Public Schools said an employee of the district was arrested Friday morning after a student reported “suspicious conduct.”
A letter sent to parents in the district said the incident happened in a bathroom at Bryant High School and that district staff immediately contacted law enforcement after learning of the allegation.
School resource officers with the district detained the employee, who was later arrested by officers with the Bryant Police Department and identified as 33-year-old Rene Cross, a custodian with the district.
In a social media post, police claim Cross was using a cell phone to record video of a male student getting dressed in a bathroom in the high school’s field house sports facility.
The officers said Cross faces a charge of video voyeurism, and Bryant PD officials said the investigation is ongoing.
