The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission has reviewed hunting, fishing, and wildlife regulations for the 2024-25 seasons. The proposed changes include updates to commercial and recreational fishing, hunting, and captive wildlife regulations. The hunting regulations being considered include plans to remove the Private Land Antlerless Only Modern Gun Deer Hunt and limit nonresidents hunting deer with dogs to the last nine days of the modern gun season. There is also a proposal to require GPS tracking collars on all dogs used in hunting.

The commission is considering a special three-day archery deer hunt in the first full weekend of September and a free resident turkey permit. Nonresidents would be limited to one turkey per season and would need to buy a nonresident turkey license for $325. Changes to waterfowl hunting regulations are also being considered, including limiting the white-fronted goose season to coincide with the duck season and changing the current 30-day nonresident waterfowl hunting days to any 30 days during the duck season.
