National Chains Aldi and Buc-ee’s Expand in Arkansas

The Aldi grocery chain, headquartered in Batavia, Illinois, operates nearly 2,400 stores nationwide. Of that number, only 15 are currently in Arkansas. However, this count will soon increase by one. The company has announced plans for a new location in Cabot, AR, at 1118 West Main Street. Cabot is situated about 30 miles northeast of Little Rock. While the company has confirmed the new store, they have yet to schedule a grand opening date.

Another national chain coming to the state is the super-sized convenience store Buc-ee’s. THV11 news reports that Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders confirmed the company’s intentions to open its first Arkansas store in a video announcement.

Huckabee Sanders had this to say about the project:

“It’s been rumored for months, but it’s time to make it official. Buc-ee’s is coming to Arkansas, and Saline County, right in the heart of our state, will be its home. Arkansans and visitors won’t have to leave our state to enjoy this must-visit pit stop.”

It will become the first location for Buc-ee’s in Arkansas. While the report doesn’t pinpoint the exact location, it’s expected to be somewhere between exits 114 and 116 on I-30 in Benton. No opening date has been set.
