Community Peace Walk hits Little Rock streets

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Multiple community organizers gathered near Central High School on Sunday for a peace walk with people of all colors, religious identities and sexual preferences.

Bob Reynolds, who is 86 years old, says he’s been an advocate for unity and is hoping that this event can help push things in a positive direction.

“Though we are different in a few ways, we are the same in many,” Reynolds said.

He says he believes that we can all respect each other’s differences to create unity and an understanding between all. A message he’s been teaching for years and the aches in his knees didn’t stop him from spreading more awareness

“It’s not about me, it’s not about any individual, it’s about people as a whole, we are alike in so many ways,” Reynolds said.

This effort, Reynolds said, teaches people the importance of understanding diverse communities beyond their own.
