North Little Rock to hold city’s Christmas tree lighting

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – North Little Rock city officials are inviting the public to the city’s Christmas tree lighting.

North Little Rock Mayor Terry Hartwick will join Girl Scout members at 6 p.m. Thursday in Argenta Plaza for the event.

Arkansas State Capitol to hold lighting ceremony and fireworks show

The Girl Scout Troop and members from of the North Little Rock Kiwanis Club and First Assembly of God in North Little Rock will be collecting non-perishable food for those in need in the community.

In addition to the Christmas tree lighting, other cities and organizations in central Arkansas are also gearing up for the holiday season.

Some upcoming events include the annual Christmas lighting ceremony and fireworks show at the Arkansas State Capitol and the BIG Little Rock Holiday Parade.

The Junior League of Little Rock held its annual Holiday House fundraiser last weekend.
