Take-home methadone kits to offer new treatment flexibility for opioid users

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) – The UAMS Center for Addiction Services will be offering take-home methadone kits with a telehealth component. This means patients with opioid use disorder don’t have to visit the clinic multiple times per week, but can instead administer methadone doses at home, while remaining under the supervision of healthcare providers.
