LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Officials with the Arkansas Marth Luther King Jr. Commission announced Friday that they will be hosting a pre-Thanksgiving food giveaway next week in the capital city.
The giveaway is part of a partnership with Tyson Foods and will happen from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Nov. 21 at 906 Broadway St.

DuShun Scarbrough, the commission’s executive director, said the giveaway is designed to help the community during the holiday season.
“We know that food insecurity impacts families year-round, but during the holidays, the need is especially great,” Scarbrough said. “This giveaway is part of our continued efforts to support our community and ensure that no family goes without during the Thanksgiving season.”

The drive through giveaway is open to everyone and no registration is required, but families are encouraged to arrive early with food being distributed on a first come, first served basis. Attendees are asked to bring bags or boxes for carrying the food.
