Benton man featured in planned Arkansas docuseries

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. –  A local man has been unearthing pieces of history around the Natural State for years. Now, his efforts are being covered in a show filmed here in Arkansas.

Brandon Sutton lives in Benton and has spent years hunting for history around the Natural State. He said he is thrilled that his discoveries could be featured beyond Arkansas after being asked to be a part of a developing show, “My Natural State,” that would show off his love.

“I agreed because I knew the history I would find will be shared with the world,” said Sutton.

This past summer, his passion was captured by a production crew filming in Arkansas featuring Yellowstone actress Dawn Olivieri, who said during that time the show was called “My Natural State.”

Sutton said he brought them to a home on Rock Street in Little Rock that was built in the late 1860s and they searched in and under it. He said they found animal bones and discovered things that could hold memories.
