Local Doctor urges precautions as flu cases surge

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) – Health officials are urging residents to take precautions as flu cases continue to rise across Arkansas. As of last week, there were 271 new cases of “Influenza A” reported, bringing the total number of cases in December to over 1,000. This marks a significant increase from just over 700 cases reported before Christmas. Since November, there have been 104 hospitalizations related to the flu.
