LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Organizations in central Arkansas are preparing to hold events in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
The Arkansas Martin Luther King Jr. Commission will host a free food giveaway Wednesday in Little Rock. In honor of King’s birthday, the commission will host the giveaway at 11 a.m. at 906 Broadway.
“This event reflects Dr. King’s philosophy of serving others,” executive director DuShun Scarbrough said. “We hope to alleviate some of the burdens families face by providing food, ensuring they have access to nutritious meals during this critical time. It’s a great way to honor Dr. King on his birthday.”…
