New Arkansas liquor laws have small businesses worried about corporate takeover

ALPENA, Ark. (KY3)— Arkansas Governor Sanders signed two bills into law in late February to reform the state’s liquor industry.

SB98, now Act 157, opens up alcohol delivery to grocery stores, small breweries, and third-party services such as DoorDash. It also mentions that third-party drivers would need to go through training, and retailers are not liable for the actions of third-party drivers.

SB97, now Act 156, would allow people or corporations to own up to three liquor licenses instead of the previous one…
