Arkansas Schools for Blind and Deaf in Little Rock to undergo $54 million renovation

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The process of making some much-needed upgrades to the Arkansas School for the Blind and Deaf began on Wednesday morning.

It comes after lawmakers toured the school in late 2023 and saw some facilities that had fallen into disrepair.

“We had mold,” explained Robert Fagan who is a school board member and former student. “We had asbestos, we had leaky ceilings, we had cracked walls.”…
