First Alert Weather Day: Tornado Watch & Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued for the Ozarks

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – The Storm Prediction Center issued a Tornado Watch and a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the Ozarks for Friday.

The Tornado Watch covers much of the Springfield-Metro area. It lasts until 11 p.m. It covers these counties:

  • Izard, Ark.
  • Madison, Ark.
  • Marion, Ark.
  • Newton, Ark.

  • Stone, Ark.

Missouri:

  • Camden, Mo.
  • Christian, Mo.
  • Dallas, Mo.
  • Dent, Mo.
  • Douglas, Mo.
  • Greene, Mo.
  • Hickory, Mo.
  • Howell, Mo.
  • Laclede, Mo.
  • Maries, Mo.
  • Miller, Mo.
  • Oregon, Mo.
