Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi Face Strong Winds Wednesday, Advisory Issued

Jackson, MS – Residents across Mississippi, northeast Louisiana, and southeast Arkansas should prepare for strong winds on Wednesday as a wind advisory has been issued from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. CDT.

According to the National Weather Service in Jackson, southwest winds of 25 to 30 mph, with gusts reaching up to 45 mph, are expected. The advisory covers central, north-central, northwest, and west-central Mississippi, along with parts of northeast Louisiana and southeast Arkansas. Cities affected include Jackson, Vicksburg, Greenwood, and Greenville in Mississippi; Bastrop and Tallulah in Louisiana; and Lake Village in Arkansas.
