High winds cause power outages across Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Thousands of Arkansas residents are without electricity Wednesday afternoon as high winds roll through the state.

According to PowerOutage.US , there are 17,535 customers without power as of 1:16 p.m.

Pulaski County wildfire full contained, burned more than 2,000 acres

Winds will have gusts over 40 mph, prompting a Wind Advisory until 7 p.m. A Red Flag Warning is also in effect, so counties are encouraged to avoid outdoor burning to prevent the spread of fires.
