EASTERN ARKANSAS — The Arkansas Forestry Division said the risk of wildfire has continued to worsen statewide due to the heavy winds sweeping across Arkansas.
All but the corners of the state and the Eastern Arkansas area are now under an extreme wildfire danger. The Arkansas Forestry Division said about nearly 100 wildfires were fought yesterday alone.
Most of the state is also under a burn ban. There are only a few pockets of the state – in Eastern Arkansas and in Southwest and Southeast Arkansas – that are not currently under a burn ban…
