Arkansas Storm Timeline: Thunderstorms and 6-Inch Rainfall Expected in Little Rock by Friday

Little Rock, AR – Heavy rain and strong thunderstorms are on the way for central Arkansas, including Little Rock, starting late Wednesday. A stalled front could dump 6 to 8 inches of rain across the state, increasing flash flood risks along major roadways like I-40.

According to the National Weather Service in Little Rock, storms will arrive by Wednesday night and linger through Sunday. Severe thunderstorms could bring damaging winds and isolated tornadoes, especially in central and eastern Arkansas. A Flood Watch remains in effect from 1 a.m. Wednesday, April 2 through 7 a.m. Sunday, April 6.
