Wichita, KS – A sharp drop in overnight temperatures is triggering freeze warnings across five states, putting early spring crops and vegetation at risk.
According to the National Weather Service, widespread sub-freezing conditions are expected from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. CDT Monday, with lows ranging from 25 to 30 degrees across central and southern Kansas, much of Oklahoma, northern Texas, northern Arkansas, and central Missouri. Areas including Wichita, Tulsa, Fort Smith, Kansas City, and Sherman are under active alerts.
