Tulsa, OK — A slow-moving storm system is set to deliver multiple rounds of rain and thunderstorms across Eastern Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas from Friday through Sunday, bringing 3 to 4 inches of rainfall to the region.
According to the National Weather Service in Tulsa, heavy rain is expected to begin Friday afternoon and continue through late Sunday. The greatest rainfall totals are forecast across areas including Tulsa, McAlester, Bartlesville, and Fort Smith, where flash flooding and river flooding are possible due to repeated storms.
Strong to severe thunderstorms may also develop Friday evening into the overnight hours, especially along a cold front sweeping across the area.
