Amazon bringing new distribution center to central Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Amazon is building another major distribution center to the Little Rock Port Authority, which will bring hundreds of new jobs to central Arkansas.

According to Talk Business & Politics’ Roby Brock, while it is not known how much of an investment the retailer is making or the size of the facility, the port authority is selling about 107 acres to Amazon.

“We can tell you with a smile, this will be another hundreds of new jobs, as opposed to 100 or 200,” Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce CEO Jay Chesshir said. “So, it’s going to be a significant job creator, and Amazon continues to believe in us, and we appreciate it.”

The groundbreaking for the new site is expected in July…
