SHERWOOD, Ark. – Officials with the Sherwood Fire Department said one person died Sunday after being in a house fire.
Fire officials said crews were dispatched to a house fire on Rocky Creek Drive just before 7 p.m. After arriving on the scene, fire crews said the home was engulfed in flames.
North Little Rock fire destroys two homes, damages third
Officials said firefighters entered the house under heavy fire conditions, which eventually caused the roof to collapse.
One person was unable to escape the house but was rescued by firefighters, fire officials said. The victim was taken to a local hospital where they later died. Officials have not identified the victim.
