Arkansas woman and Missouri man indicted in federal drug trafficking case

A woman from Mountain Home, Arkansas, and a man from Bakersfield, Missouri, were arrested following a nine-count federal indictment related to methamphetamine trafficking in southwest Missouri.

Virginia Perreira, 36, and John Zastrow, 34, were charged in an indictment returned under seal by a federal grand jury in Springfield, Missouri, on April 1, 2025. The indictment was unsealed and made public following their arrests.

The indictment alleges that from March 12, 2024, to January 22, 2025, Perreira and Zastrow conspired to distribute methamphetamine. Perreira faces one count of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and four counts of distributing methamphetamine.
