Arkansas Storm Team Forecast: Tornado Watch Issued Until 7 P.M.

Strong storms are beginning to push across Arkansas. A tornado watch is in effect for portions of western, northern, and central Arkansas until 7 p.m. this evening. These storms are currently moving into the western part of the state, with the greatest tornado threat expected between 2 and 4 p.m. in the northern areas. While the intensity of the storms will likely decrease as they move eastward, the threat of tornadoes and damaging winds will still be a concern, especially through the evening hours.

In central Arkansas, the line of storms is expected to reach Little Rock between 5 and 7 p.m., with a gradual weakening as the storms move southeastward. However, even as the storms weaken, we’ll continue to monitor the potential for severe weather, including gusty winds and isolated tornadoes. The Arkansas Storm Team is committed to providing live updates throughout the day, so make sure to stay tuned and stay weather aware as these storms progress. We’ll continue to keep you informed with any new developments…
