David McClure, principal of Woodland Junior High School, was named the 2025 Principal of the Year by the Arkansas Association of Middle Level Administrators during a surprise assembly held April 11 at the school.
Representatives from the Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators (AAEA) and AAMLA presented McClure with the award in front of students and staff. Among those in attendance were Dr. Mike Hernandez, executive director of the AAEA; Lennett Thrasher, assistant executive director of the AAEA; AAMLA board members Molly David and Jason Brunner; and Tammy Carmical of LifeTouch.
