Three cooling centers open in Little Rock as heat indexes climb

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The city of Little Rock has opened three cooling centers as a triple-digit heat index grips the state.

Officials stated that the cooling centers are located at the Dunbar, Southwest, and West Central Community Centers.

The centers are open from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. The Dunbar Center will also be open on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
