MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Helena-West Helena Mayor Christopher Franklin was arrested Tuesday for failing to pay his taxes, Arkansas State Police say.
A video began circulating on Facebook this afternoon that appeared to show Mayor Franklin being placed in handcuffs by Arkansas troopers.
ASP said Franklin, 44, was charged with four counts of Failure to Pay or File a Tax Return, a Class D felony as a result of a Special Investigations Unit (SIU) probe.
