Historic St. Joseph orphanage to be torn down, community clings to farm’s future

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Saint Joseph’s Center is set to close its doors for good after more than 100 years in the community.

Built in 1908, the St. Joseph Center once housed orphans. Over the years, the building served many groups — from non-profits to farmers and artists.

But in the blink of an eye, it all came crashing down…
