Arkansas tests new wrong-way detection systems to enhance road safety

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KATV) — Motorists traveling along Interstate 40 this week may have noticed overnight ramp closures as the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) tests new wrong-way detection systems.

The initiative aims to reduce the number of wrong-way crashes, which, although not frequent, often result in fatalities.
