HAMPTON – Calhoun County will receive $75,000 in state funding for a critical infrastructure project as part of the Arkansas Unpaved Roads Program (AURP), Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders and the Arkansas Department of Agriculture announced Thursday.
The funds will be used to raise an existing bridge by two feet and install both box and round culverts to improve drainage and stormwater management. The project is aimed at protecting water quality, reducing erosion, and improving reliability along the county’s rural road network.
