Little Rock, Ark. – Triple-digit heat is baking central and northeast Arkansas this weekend, with heat index values soaring as high as 112° through Saturday evening — and the extreme conditions are set to return Sunday afternoon.
According to the National Weather Service in Little Rock, an Extreme Heat Warning remains in effect until 8 p.m. Saturday for Pulaski, Faulkner, Independence, and eight other counties. A second Extreme Heat Warning begins at noon Sunday and lasts until 8 p.m., with heat index values expected to reach up to 110°.
