UPDATE: Beebe police ID 15 and 18-year-old suspects accused of assaulting officer, stealing patrol vehicle during Vilonia traffic stop

BEEBE, Ark. – Two men accused of assaulting a Vilonia officer and stealing his patrol vehicle during a traffic stop were arrested Monday.

According to the Beebe Police Department, the incident happened during a 5 a.m. traffic stop in Vilonia on Monday.

During the traffic stop for speeding, police officials said the two men in the vehicle gave the Vilonia officer false names and were then asked to get out of their vehicle. The two were the 15-year-old driver, whose name was not released, and 18-year-old Jabariyon Crenshaw of Conway.

Instead of obeying the officer, the two fled in their vehicle toward White County until they broke down on Highway 64 in Beebe. Police later discovered that the vehicle they were driving had been stolen from the City of Bebee…
