A look at the harsh effects violence has on families: teen’s family navigating amputation

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KATV) — Comparing this year to last, violent crime is slightly down in Little Rock, but in just the northwestern portion of the city, it’s up significantly, at 15%. Homicides in that area are up 267%.

Northwest Little Rock is where Nikki Lewis found her 17-year-old son shot in the leg, ultimately leading to amputation, drastically changing his whole family’s life.
