According to the National Weather Service in Little Rock, Monday’s high will reach 99°, with a heat index as high as 109°. Light winds and sunny skies will provide little relief. A heat advisory remains in effect until 8 p.m. Sunday and may be extended into the workweek. Tuesday’s forecast brings even more intense heat with highs hitting 101°.
