The Tontitown Grape Festival has been going on for 126 years and was voted the best festival in Northwest Arkansas. Tontitown is known for its grapes and vineyards.

The Tontitown Grape Festival will have a carnival, great activities for the kids and free live music every night, including the Bellamy Brothers on Wednesday, August 6. You can participate in the Run for the Grapes 5K run and they will have plenty of their famous spaghetti dinners for purchase.
History of The Tontitown Grape Festival in Arkansas
The Tontitown area was settled by close to 40 Italian families in 1899. They settled there when a priest from Italy came to America to help his Italian countrymen better their lives. He found the climate and terrain in Northwest Arkansas were similar to northern Italy. So he secured some land for the families to grow grapes. Their vineyards did so well that at the end of the harvest season, the families came together for a big celebration. That celebration became the first Tontitown Grape Festival.
