Arkansas officials work to combat rising SNAP fraud impacting families

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — It’s a trend of financial fraud that the state has seen over the last six months.

We’ve talked to the Arkansas Department of Human Services about SNAP benefit scams as more and more families are falling victim to it.

It’s a troubling trend that has reached the radar of Attorney General Tim Griffin. To help spur these scams, he said there are four key principles that they are advocating for: prevention and advocacy, education, training, and awareness.
