Amazon Breaks Ground on Logistics Center in Arkansas

930,000-Square-Foot Facility Will Open in 2 Years, Employ 1,000

Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders raised a shovel to help break ground on a new Amazon logistics center in Little Rock, a 930,000-square-foot facility intended to help speed delivery of goods to consumers.

“This strategic location in the heart of the heartland streamlines logistics processes and offers businesses easy access to critical transportation corridors. Areas like this are just one reason why Central Arkansas is a great place to do business,” Sanders said July 29. “I’m excited to see companies like Amazon choosing the Port of Little Rock — an area where river, rail, road, and runway all connect — to expand their business.” Construction is expected to take about two years…
