NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- Last year in April, the North Little Rock Animal Shelter expanded its facility, making more room for cages and unsheltered animals.
Director Adam Tindall said they rescue nearly 3,000 animals each year. Just in this summer alone, they’ve taken in 1,339 animals, and adoptions have slowed down.
“School’s starting, so everybody’s busy with back-to-school shopping and so when you get into that day and age, not too many people are thinking about animals,” Tindall said.
