McGann, Arkansas murder suspect, worked at multiple schools: CBS News

Andrew James McGann, the 28-year-old man arrested and charged in the double murder of Clinton and Cristen Brink, who were killed while hiking with their children at Devil’s Den State Park in Arkansas, previously worked as a teacher, CBS News reports.

McGann, who had brief and troubled stints in multiple school districts across Texas and Oklahoma, was most recently employed by the Plano Independent School District for just four days in 2024 before resigning prior to the school year’s start.

McGann had previously resigned from the Lewisville Independent School District following an internal investigation into concerns about classroom management and professional behavior—though the district claimed no evidence of inappropriate conduct with students was found.
