LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KATV) — Attorney General Tim Griffin has announced the launch of Operation Robocall Roundup, a nationwide initiative by the Anti-Robocall Litigation Task Force to tackle the persistent problem of robocalls.
Griffin, alongside 50 other attorneys general, is sending warning letters to 37 voice providers, urging them to halt the flow of illegal robocalls through their networks.
“Illegal robocalls continue to exploit vulnerable consumers, often impersonating trusted institutions and spreading scams,” Griffin said. “Our bipartisan coalition of attorneys general is putting 37 voice providers on notice: if you allow these calls to be routed through your networks, we will hold you accountable.”…
