LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The chimpanzee troop has grown a bit bigger at the Little Rock Zoo.
Zookeepers posted on Tuesday that a new addition to the chimpanzee family was born on Aug. 5.

Zoo officials said Kianga, the baby’s mother, has been nursing, grooming and watching over her newborn.
“Over the last week, her care team has enjoyed seeing Kianga bond with her baby, who is already sporting a full head of hair,” zoo officials wrote. “The rest of the troop is interested in baby but respectful of the new mom.”
