We all know there are lots of Texans that visit that same state park each year in hopes of finding a big diamond. And while this recent discovery wasn’t from a Texas resident it’s still exciting to hear that a 2.3 carat white diamond was found.

Most people that visit the Arkansas State Park understand that it’s uncommon to find a big diamond like this but it’s still fun to search around because you just never know. Well according to KLTV, 31-year-old Micherre Fox from New York said that she wanted to find her own diamond for her engagement ring. That was two years ago — and that’s exactly what she accomplished.

A Determined Search for the Perfect Stone
Fox has recently graduated from grad school and planned on taking a break to look for a diamond. She said she was willing to go anywhere in the world to make it happen, but the best place to do it is in Arkansas.
The Exact Moment She Found It
Fox was on her last day of a three week visit when she saw something sparkling by her feet. She nudged it, but it continued to sparkle. She then took the stone to the Diamond Discovery Center where it was confirmed to be a white diamond…
