Infrastructure improvements set for Little Rock’s VA medical facilities

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Officials with the Department of Veterans Affairs said infrastructure upgrades are mapped out for its Little Rock medical facility.

Officials said the upgrades are part of a system-wide upgrade budgeted at $800 million.

The upgrades set for the Little Rock VA facilities include replacement of piping, structural repairs to buildings, storm damage repairs, and upgrades to water and electrical services.

“This is another step forward in our efforts to make VA work better for the Veterans, families, caregivers and survivors we are charged with serving,” said VA Secretary Doug Collins. “Improved facilities, equipment and infrastructure help improve care for Veterans, and these additional funds will enable VA to achieve that goal.”…
