It is going to be another hot Sunday across Arkansas with highs in the mid to lower 90s. A few lucky spots in far northern Arkansas may top out in the 80s, but most of us are still holding onto that late summer heat. A cold front will be sliding through later Sunday into the overnight hours, and that is when the changes begin.
Cooler air arrives just in time for the new week, with highs in the 70s and 80s starting Monday and continuing through the rest of August. Rain chances increase in western Arkansas Monday evening and spread into central areas by Monday night into Tuesday. Some spots Tuesday may not even make it out of the 70s, giving us a refreshing taste of early fall that looks to stick around into next weekend…
